What is Winter Trails Month?
Winter Trails month is an annual initiative dedicated to helping people discover the joys of wintertime through providing fun and accessible introductions to winter sports. We believe that spending winters active and outdoors has tremendous physical, social, and mental benefits, and we’re here to help you experience them.
Throughout the month of January different ski resorts, outdoor centers, and organizations across the country host their own Winter Trails Month event. Most events focus on cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and fat-biking, but many now include a range of winter sports and activities from ice-harvesting to “snow-ga” (yoga on snow).
The 23rd annual Winter Trails season is fast approaching, involving almost 100 venues nationwide. Come to an event this January to try out a new sport, have a blast outside, and celebrate wintertime!
